The European Tour is encouraging Tour members to make use of Twitter to more engage with golf fans.

There’s a notice to this effect (see photograph) appearing on the noticeboard at this week’s Omega European Masters.

The Tour have even provided a Blackberry Playbook to assist players with this latest social media initiative.
