‘The Big Bopper’ Remembered During Texas Visit.

Standing at the gravesite of J.P. ‘Big Bopper’ Richardson one is reminded there is far more important matters in this world than golf.

In venturing south east of Houston last weekend not only was it rewarding to visit the former home of Janis Joplin but it was interesting as well to learn more about ‘The Big Popper’.

‘The Big Bopper’ along with Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and their pilot died instantly early on the morning of February 3rd, 1960 and a day later to be known as ‘The Day the Music Died’.
